A Mexico man is recovering from injuries sustained after being hit by a car while he was on his riding lawn mower.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened on Saturday night just after 7:30 in the 500 block of West Teal Lake Road.

Officers found that 58 year old Lee Stulce Jr, had pulled completely into the roadway when he was struck by a Ford SUV, being driven by 23 year old Cassandra West of Mexico.

Stulce was taken to the University Hospital where he was admitted for treatment.
