Mexico Bulldogs Mount Major Comeback Win In Softball Against Community R-VI

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs and the Community R-VI Lady Trojans provided plenty of offense in an exciting extra innings game that would see Mexico come out on top 13-12 in extra innings.

It was a back and forth battle with Community R-VI jumping out on top with 2 runs in the first inning.

Mexico would answer back and tie it in the 2nd with 2 runs including an RBI double from Eboni Mayfield.

Community R-VI would regain the lead with an RBI sac fly from Emmi Johnson in their half of the second making it 3-2 Lady Trojans.

Community R-VI took a commanding lead in the third with an 8 run inning.

Jordyn Thurman took over the circle for Eboni Mayfield and settled things down striking out 3 to end the inning.

Community R-VI added another run in the 5th inning and lead 12-4.

Mexico would add a run in the sixth trimming the lead to 12-5.

Mexico would then bat around in the 7th inning and put up 7 runs to tie the game to send it into extra innings.

Jordyn Thurman held the Lady Trojans to no runs in their half of the seventh.

Mexico would take the lead in the 8th on an RBI double from Senior catcher Abby Oetting.

Jordyn Thurman closed out the game and picked up the win for Mexico.

The Lady Dawgs improved to 15-10 on the year and Community R-VI is now 13-5 with just a handful of games left until districts begin.
