The following cases were heard on September 7, 2021, in the Circuit Court of Callaway County, Missouri, Division II, Honorable Jeff Harris presiding:
Joseph Ray Atterberry, 44, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Atterberry that he possessed approximately two grams of the drug when he was arrested on unrelated warrants. The judge sentenced Atterberry to 5 years in prison to be served concurrently with other sentences he was serving. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Anquon DeMario Ellebb, 41, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Ellebb admitted that he possessed approximately one gram of the drug when he was arrested on an unrelated warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. The judge sentenced Ellebb to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of that sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that he successfully complete the Callaway County Treatment Court program. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Sandy Ray Gallaspie, 61, of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty in two separate cases to charges of burglary in the second degree, stealing and property damage. In the first case, Gallaspie admitted that he burglarized a building on County Road 4036 in July 2017, stealing copper wire and surveillance cameras and damaging a metal door to the building by kicking it in. The judge sentenced Gallaspie to 5 years in prison for the burglary, 30 days in jail for the stealing and 15 days in jail for the property damage. In a second case, Gallaspie admitted that he acted with another man to burglarize a building on County Road 452 in October 2017, stealing a shotgun. The judge sentenced Gallaspie to 7 years in prison for each of those offenses. Both cases were investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Gabriel Charles Horstman, 41, of Mokane, failed to appear in court. A warrant remains outstanding for his arrest.
Tammy Jo Manion, 54, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Manion admitted that she possessed approximately one-half of a gram of the drug when she was arrested on an unrelated traffic offense. The judge placed Manion on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that she be screened for the Callaway County Treatment Court program and successfully complete the program if accepted. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Kyle Ferguson Moser, 34, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to child molestation in the third degree. Moser admitted touching the breast of the then 13 year-old victim in 2018. The victim disclosed the abuse after attending a sexual abuse training program at school. Following the program, which included instruction for students on recognizing and reporting sexual abuse, the victim told a friend who reported the matter to school authorities. The disclosure was reported to the Missouri Department of Social Services – Children’s Division – and referred to law enforcement for investigation. The judge sentenced Moser to 10 years in prison. The case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Shaun Ray Nolan, 45, of Auxvasse, pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree. Nolan admitted that this past June, he verbally threatened to shoot the victim while the two were at a local gas station. Shortly thereafter, Nolan entered his garage and grabbed a loaded shotgun before being subdued by another man. The judge sentenced Nolan to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of the sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that he obtain mental health treatment. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Travis Lee Pitt, 30, of Fulton, was sentenced to 6 years in prison on two charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and MDMA). Pitt had been on probation for the offenses. Following a hearing, the judge found that Pitt had violated probation and revoked it. The case was originally investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Crystopher Wright, 36, of Jefferson City, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Wright had been on probation for the offense, admitted violating probation, and the judge revoked it. The case was originally investigated by the Holts Summit Police Department.
The following cases were heard on September 13 and September 17, 2021, in the Circuit Court of Callaway County, Missouri, Division III, Honorable Kevin Crane presiding:
Collette Long Ellebb, 53, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated (3rd offense). Ellebb admitted that in December 2018, she operated a motor vehicle on West 9th Street in Fulton while under the influence of alcohol. Ellebb was discovered to be driving while intoxicated when she was stopped for driving just after midnight without headlights or taillights. The offense was enhanced to a felony based on Ellebb’s previous convictions for DWI in 2005 and 2010. The judge sentenced Ellebb to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of that sentence and placed her on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that she successfully complete the Callaway County DWI Court program. The case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Austin Tylar Halsey, 25, of Kingdom City, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated (3rd offense). Halsey admitted that in September 2020, he operated a motor vehicle on U.S. Highway 54 while under the influence of alcohol. Halsey was discovered to be driving while intoxicated when he was stopped for speeding. The offense was enhanced to a felony based on Halsey’s two previous convictions for DWI in 2017. The judge sentenced Halsey to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of that sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that he serve 30 days shock time in the county jail and successfully complete the Callaway County DWI Court program. The case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Jeremiah Kaullen, 40, of Jefferson City, failed to appear in court. A warrant remains outstanding for his arrest.
Joseph Taylor Lawson, 18, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to child molestation in the third degree. Lawson admitted touching the then 13 year-old victim with his penis in April 2021. The investigation began when Lawson called the Missouri Department of Social Services – Children’s Division hotline and self-reported that he had rubbed his penis on the child victim while she was asleep. The disclosure was referred to law enforcement for further investigation. The judge placed Lawson on five years of supervised probation under several conditions including that he have no contact with children, obtain a sex offender evaluation and follow the recommendations of that evaluation. In addition, Lawson will be required to register as a sex offender. The case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Phillip Matthew Martinez, 45, of Washington, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and felony driving while revoked. Martinez admitted that he possessed the drug and that he was driving on U.S. Highway 54 when his driver’s license was revoked. The driving offense was enhanced to a felony based on Martinez’s two prior convictions for driving while revoked in 2017 and his prior conviction for driving while intoxicated in 2000. Martinez was stopped after he was involved in a traffic crash on Highway 54. The deputy sheriff discovered that his license was revoked and arrested him. While he was being booked into the jail, staff discovered that Martinez was hiding a small amount of methamphetamine in his shoe. The judge sentenced Martinez to 4 years in prison for the drug offense and 2 years in prison for the driving offense and ordered that the sentences be served concurrently with other sentences that Martinez was serving in prison. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph Ryan Millar, 32, of Basehor, Kansas, was sentenced to 4 years in prison on charges of burglary in the second degree and stealing. Millar had been on probation for the offenses, admitted violating probation, and the judge revoked it. The case was originally investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Zachary Dain Rice, 25, of Clarksburg, pleaded guilty to tampering with a motor vehicle. Rice admitted that he possessed a 2015 GMC pickup in March 2021 without the consent of the owner. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from a landscaping company. The judge sentenced Rice to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of that sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several condition, including that he pay restitution to the victim. The case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Donald Wright Simmons, 26, of Fulton, failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Alex Oleksandr Walker, 23, of Kingdom City, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. Walker admitted that in October 2020, he was involved in an accident on U.S. Highway 54 that resulted in damage to a median cable system owned by the Missouri Department of Transportation and that he fled the scene without reporting the incident. At the time of the crash, Walker was on felony probation for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). In the new case, the judge sentenced Walker to 3 years in prison. The judge also revoked Walker’s probation in the drug case and executed the previously suspended 5 year prison sentence. In both cases, the judge recommended that Walker complete a substance abuse treatment program within the Department of Corrections before being considered for release. The drug case was originally investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office. The leaving the scene of an accident case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Angeline Melissa Wedepohl, 32, of Fulton, failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Dakota Michael Wilcox, 22, of Holts Summit, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Wilcox admitted that he possessed the drug in August 2019 when he was stopped for a traffic offense on U.S. Highway 54. During a search of Wilcox, a police officer discovered approximately one and half grams of methamphetamine. The judge sentenced Wilcox to 4 years in prison to be served concurrently with another sentence that Wilcox was serving in prison. The case was investigated by the Holts Summit Police Department.
The following cases were heard on September 20, 2021, in the Circuit Court of Callaway County, Missouri, Division I, Honorable Brouck Jacobs presiding:
Skyler Allison, 20, of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty to forgery. Allison admitted that she signed another person’s name to a ticket for a conservation violation and a traffic offense in March 2020. Allison was ticketed by a conservation agent for being in the Earthquake Hollow Conservation Area at a time when it was closed to the public. Allison lied about her identity to the agent and signed another person’s name to the tickets. The judge placed Allison on five years of supervised probation. The case was investigated by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Justin Lee Archuleta, 41, of Columbia, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Archuleta admitted that he possessed just under one gram of the drug when he was stopped for speeding in December 2019. Archuleta was arrested at the stop because his driver’s license was revoked. During a search of Archuleta, the trooper discovered the drug. The judge sentenced Archuleta to 4 years in prison to be served with another sentence he was serving in prison. The case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Kaleb Eugene Bonine, 27, of Tebbetts, pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), stealing and forgery. Bonine admitted that he possessed approximately three and a half grams of the drug in July 2018 during a traffic stop. Bonine also admitted stealing a .22 caliber pistol in January 2019. The victims reported that Bonine had been living at their residence at the time he stole the firearm and other items. Bonine also admitted forging a check that belonged to the same victims in August 2020. The judge sentenced Bonine to 4 years in prison for the offenses but suspended execution of the sentences and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that he successfully complete the Callaway County Treatment Court program. The cases were investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and Fulton Police Department.
William Joseph Burgess, 48, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. Burgess admitted that he possessed approximately 12 grams of the drug this past March. Officers also seized plastic baggies and a digital scale at the time of Burgess’ arrest. The judge sentenced Burgess to 5 years in prison to be served with another prison sentence he was already serving and recommended that Burgess complete a substance abuse treatment program within the Department of Corrections before being considered for release. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and MUSTANG Drug Task Force.
Thomas William Laws, 41, of Eldon, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for burglary in the second degree and possession of burglary tools. Laws had been on probation for the offenses, admitted violating probation, and the judge revoked it. The case was originally investigated by the Holts Summit Police Department.
Christopher McCombs, 37, of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty to two counts of tampering in the first degree. McCombs admitted that in February 2021 he possessed a 2005 Dodge pickup without the consent of the owner. McCombs also admitted that shortly after the first offense, he possessed a 2011 Dodge pickup without the consent of the owner. McCombs admitted that he possessed the first vehicle that had been reported stolen out of St. Louis when he ran out of gas. He then found the second vehicle parked at a residence in New Bloomfield and took that vehicle before he was apprehended. The judge sentenced McCombs to 7 years in prison for the offenses. The case was investigated by the Holts Summit Police Department and Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Corey Shane Perkins, 34, of Columbia, pleaded guilty to felony stealing. Perkins admitted that he shoplifted shoes from a Fulton business in November 2020. The offense was enhanced to a felony based on Perkins’ prior convictions for stealing in Boone, Cooper and Cole counties in 2015 and 2016. The judge sentenced Perkins to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of that sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation. The case was investigated by the Fulton Police Department.
Ethan William Rogers, 22, of St. Louis, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm. Rogers admitted that he possessed an AR-15 rifle and a pistol this past July. A deputy sheriff found the weapons in Rogers’ vehicle when investigating a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 70. Rogers is prohibited from possessing any firearm based on his previous convictions in St. Louis for tampering in the first degree and unlawful possession of a weapon. The judge sentenced Rogers to 5 years in prison for the offenses. The case was investigated by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Glen Wallace, 34, of New Bloomfield, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone). Wallace admitted that he possessed hydrocodone pills in September 2019. The pills were discovered among the debris of an ATV crash on County Road 441. The judge placed Wallace on five years of supervised probation for the offense. The case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Daniel Schuyler Weller, 36, of Quincy, Illinois, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated (3rd offense). Weller admitted that this past August he was operating a motor vehicle on U.S. Highway 54 while under the influence of alcohol. Weller was found to be intoxicated by a trooper who responded to a crash scene. Weller’s vehicle was the only vehicle involved and witnesses reported he was the only occupant in the vehicle. Weller suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash. The offense was enhanced to a felony based on Weller’s prior convictions for DWI in Camden County in 2009. The judge sentenced Weller to 4 years in prison but suspended execution of the sentence and placed him on five years of supervised probation under several conditions, including that he successfully complete a court-ordered substance abuse treatment program in Illinois. The case was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
