New Assistant Principal Hired At Mexico High School

The Mexico School District is introducing Michael Fernandez as an additional Assistant Principal at Mexico High School for the upcoming school year.

Mr. Fernandez is a Social Studies teacher at Battle High School in Columbia. He has been teaching for 15 years and has also served as a head basketball coach for both boys and girls during his time in education.

Fernandez has a Bachelor’s of Science in Educaiton from the University of Missouri and has a Master’s Degree in Education from Xavier University.

He recently earned an Education Specialist Degree in Building Leadership from William Woods University.

Mr. Fernandez is filling the assistant principal position that was added for the 23-24 school year and was vacated with the resignation of Jenn Caine.
