Audrain County League Of Women Voters Hosts Candidate Forum

About 50 people attended the Audrain County League of Women Voters candidate forum that was held at the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Candidates running for Mexico City Council and Mexico School Board answered questions and talked about issues facing the school district and the Mexico community.

The Mexico City Council has a five person race for two open seats.

Candidates include Vicki Briggs, Chris Miller, Josh Price Laine Chedwick, and Cameron R. Bessolo.

The Mexico School Board has three open seats and four candidates.

Chris Williams, Michelle Stephens and Jennifer Gore have filed for a 3-year term.

Lennette Brown has filed for a two-year term.

The election takes place on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Polls open at 6am and close at 7pm.
