Jefferson City Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Callaway County Accident

A Jefferson City man has serious injuries following a one-car accident in Callaway County overnight.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened just after midnight on Southbound US 63, 1.5 miles north of US 54.

The accident happened when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Johnny Siebert had a deer travel into his path.

The vehicle left the road to avoid the deer and hit the ground with its front bumper and went airborne, traveling over Renz Farm Road.

While airborne, the vehicle began rotating clockwise while overturning toward its driver side.

The vehicle stuck the ground, and eventually came to rest on its top.

Siebert was taken by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment.
