Mexico High School Girls Softball Wins Seventh Straight On First Annual Teachers Appreciation Night

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs softball team participated in the first annual Teachers Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 29, 2023.

It was a huge success as the Mexico rolled to a 17-7 win over the Moberly Lady Spartans last (Thursday) night.

Mexico’s Hannah Loyd had a huge night at the plate driving in five runs.

In the second inning, Loyd tripled. Karlee Sefrit started the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs with a ground out in the first inning that scored a run.

Aleigha Henderson earned the win for Mexico.

Emma Cunningham threw two and two-thirds innings in relief striking out 1.

The Lady Bulldogs amassed 14 hits in the game.

Jordyn Thurman, Kenley Jones, and Karlee Sefrit each collected multiple hits.

Mexico won their 7th consecutive game.

Up next the Lady Bulldogs travel to Southern Boone for a game against the Lady Eagles on Saturday at 10am.
