Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
- Unwanted subject at West Monroe.
- Child abuse or neglect at South Jefferson.
- Assault with no injury on East Liberty.
- Stealing or theft at 1109 East Liberty and at 4820 South Clark and on North Western.
- Suspicious person at Summit.
- Child abuse or neglect on South Morris Street/Boulevard.
- Neighbor dispute at West Street.
Car accidents:
No injuries reported in a two-car accident in Mexico on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened on North Wade at West Monroe near Pizza Hut.
A vehicle driven by 67-year-old James Lee Hildebrand of Mexico turned right onto West Monroe Street from North Wade Street and struck a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Mexico girl.
Both vehicles were able to be driven away following the accident.
