Raises Approved For Teachers And Administrators In Mexico School District
Teachers and administrators in the Mexico School District will be seeing a 3.5% across the board raise for the 2024-2025 school year.
The raises were approved during the Mexico Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
According to Mexico Schools communication director Marci Orr, the raises will likely keep Mexico above local schools and all conference schools except for Kirksville, pending their own district and board decisions this spring.
The starting salary for teachers in the Mexico School District is now at $42,000 per year.
