The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the State Tournament after defeating Orchard Farm 55-49 in St. Charles on Monday, Mar. 10, 2025.
Mexico’s offense was led by senior PJ Perkins who put up a game-high 19 points.
With the win Mexico will host Vashon on Friday night at 6pm at the Mexico High School.
The winner will advance to the Final Four in Class 4.
In high school basketball tonight (Tuesday), the Country 96 Game of the Week will feature the Mexico Lady Bulldogs as they travel to play Westminster Christian Academy in the Sectionals of the State Tournament.
Tip off is set for 6pm.
Mizzou’s graduate guard Caleb Grill has been named SEC sixth man of the year, junior forward Mark Mitchell earned a spot on the All-SEC third team, and sophomore guard Anthony Robinson II was named to the All-SEC Defensive Team by the leagues’ coaches.
In Spring Training baseball yesterday (Monday), the St. Louis Cardinals were shut out 8-0 by the New York Mets.
The Kansas City Royals lost 5-2 to the Cleveland Guardians.
