Mexico Public Safety Responds To Bowling Green Police Department Social Media Post About Man Wanted For Stolen Vehicle Being In Mexico

The Mexico Public Safety Department has responded to a Bowling Green Police Department social media post about a man wanted in connection to a stolen vehicle from Mexico.

Bowling Green Police Department located a vehicle on Sunday night which was apparently illegally parked with no one around.

Mexico Public Safety said the vehicle, a red Suzuki Sx4, was registered to a business in Mexico.

Mexico Public Safety spoke with the business owner and determined the vehicle had been stolen at some point over the weekend.

Bowling Green officers located personal items belonging to a Mexico resident inside the vehicle, and they identified that person as a suspect on social media.

Mexico Public Safety Department determined that person and released him pending further investigation.

Both Mexico Public Safety and Bowling Green Police are continuing to investigate and communicate about crimes that occurred in each jurisdiction.

Mexico Public Safety says there is no indication there is any danger to anyone from these incidents.
