The fourth ranked quiz bowl team in the United States, the Mexico High Academic Team claimed the 2025 Bulldog Regional Interscholastic Competition on Saturday, Mar. 29, 2025.
The event was held at the Mexico Middle School. Mexico A team members Camden Williams, Andrew Peuster and Hunter Feger, fired off eight wins to sweep through the competition.
Included in the slew of victories was a pair of wins over Glasgow A the 98th ranked quiz bowl team in the United States, Glasgow A from Kentucky.
The Bulldogs took down their opponent by a score of 415-175 in the first showdown.
Mexico would defeat Glasgow A 430-210 in their second matchup and secured the BRIC Championship.
The win was also Mexico High Academic Team head coach Dale Schenewerk’s 700th career victory.
Mexico A also secured their 100th win of the season.
Mexico will wrap up the regular season at Moberly, on Saturday, April 5th.
