Business loop 70 closure
Columbia drivers, get ready for a temporary detour. A portion of Business Loop 70 will close for two weeks starting Wednesday.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the stretch between Hathman Place and Eastland Circle will be shut down through November 26 for roundabout construction.
MoDOT says all businesses in the area will remain open and accessible.
The new roundabout is designed to eventually connect directly with eastbound I70, but that connection isn’t expected to open until late 2027.
