Three Shooting Incidents in Columbia: Two Victims, No Arrests Yet

Three separate shooting incidents were reported in Columbia Thursday evening, starting around 7 p.m.
Authorities first checked the 4500 block of Alan Lane, where evidence suggested shots were fired.
While there, officers learned of a shooting at a nearby Casey’s convenience store on 3905 Clark Lane.
A Casey’s victim sustained minor injuries, and was taken to a hospital.
Police then found a second victim on the 1700 block of North Ballenger Lane near Victory Church; this person’s injuries were described as potentially life-threatening and were also transported to a hospital.
In total, investigators say there were at least three scenes with gunfire, and no arrests have been made yet.
Authorities are asking residents to avoid the affected areas while officers continue the investigation.
The Casey’s scene was cleared by about 8:30 p.m., and the North Ballenger Lane scene was cleared by 10:20 p.m., though Alan Lane remained under investigation.
