Boone County Teen Gets 15 Years for Columbia Shootings

A Boone County teenager will spend 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple gun crimes in Columbia.

Seventeen-year-old Justin Lee Lumley admitted to second-degree assault, firing a gun, and damaging property in connection to two separate shootings in 2024 and 2025.

Court records show Lumley shot two people in December 2024 and fired at another person and a vehicle in January 2025.

Prosecutors dropped 12 other felony charges as part of the plea deal.

Lumley was charged as an adult.
