Prosecutors have upgraded charges against a Mexico, Missouri man accused in a deadly crash involving an e-bike in Jefferson City.
Robert Rackers Jr., 36, now faces charges including DWI resulting in death and second-degree involuntary manslaughter after 59-year-old Richard Robben died from his injuries.
Police say the crash happened Sunday on East Dunklin Street when Rackers failed to yield while turning left, striking Robben, who was riding an electric bicycle.
Robben’s death was confirmed Tuesday.
Rackers is scheduled to appear in court April 29 and May 14 in Cole County
