A 20-year Randolph County woman has been charged in the theft of a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle on Thursday.
Alayna Mason, of Moberly, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle, stealing a gun and escaping from custody.
Charges are expected to be filed Monday after the courts were closed on Friday for former President Harry Truman’s birthday.
Numerous law enforcement agencies were seen Thursday near Lee and Morley streets after reports surfaced of a stolen a patrol vehicle. The Moberly Police Department wrote in a Thursday social media post that the suspect was in custody and that the vehicle itself was fully intact.
