A 66-year-old Lake of the Ozarks woman was seriously injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred just before noon on U.S. Highway 50 near Missouri Highway 5.
The report states the woman was driving a 2022 Ford Expedition southbound when she turned into the path of a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia driven by a 56-year-old Orlando, Florida, man.
The Ford Expedition was totaled, while the semi truck sustained extensive damage. A third vehicle, a 2025 Ford Explorer, received minor damage as it was struck by debris from the crash.
The woman was transported by ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
