Governor Mike Parson has promoted Missouri State Highway Patrol Colonel Sandra K. Karsten to the position of Acting-Director of Missouri’s Department of Public Safety.
Current Director, Drew Juden, will be departing the agency effective August 31. The Governor has asked Karsten to step into the role during the transition.
Karsten will continue in her position as superintendent of the Highway Patrol.
The Governor will be working to appoint a new director in the near future.
