The City of Columbia has announced their first director of the new Communications Department.
Christopher Ave will take his position on June 22. He is currently the head of media relations and public affairs at the University of Missouri.
Columbia City Manager De’Carlon Seewood said, “Christopher’s extensive experience in journalism and strategic communications makes him an outstanding addition to our team. We are excited to welcome him to the City and look forward to his leadership in strengthening communication and engagement with our community.”
