The murder trial of a Columbia woman has been moved back while a mental health evaluation continues.
Emma Adams is accused of a murder in 2023 in which authorities found the burned remains of Samuel Michael Clemons on a firepit at Adams’ house.
Adams is autistic, and this afternoon, her commitment to the Missouri Department of Mental Health was extended by 180 days.
Her trial is now set to begin in early 2027.
