Montgomery County Man to Be Sentenced in Child Fentanyl Death Case

A Montgomery County man who pleaded guilty in a drug-related death of his two-year-old child case is scheduled to be sentenced This Morning in Warren County.

Bryan Danter entered guilty pleas in April to second-degree felony murder, second-degree drug trafficking, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The charges stem from a September 2024 investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, after troopers found the 2-year-old child dead in an apartment,

Investigators later determined the child died from fentanyl exposure, leading to the added murder charge.

Court records show Danter’s sentencing hearing is set for 9 a.m. This morning before Judge Kevin Zerr in Warrenton.
