Governor Mike Parson signed a bill into law today [Friday] blocking local governments from enforcing stricter health regulations than the state standards on concentrated animal feeding operations.
In a statement, Parson said “Senate Bill 391 is a big win for Missouri farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses.”
The Governor has planned a ceremonial bill signing that will be held on June 8th, in Sedalia.
Missouri Agriculture is an $88.4 billion industry.
