Drivers in southwest Columbia should plan for an overnight road closure beginning Tuesday evening.
South Sinclair Road will be closed between West Southampton Drive and Muirfield Drive from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Columbia Public Works says crews will install storm sewer pipes beneath the roadway as part of a private development project that includes construction of a new roundabout. The closure will affect traffic near the Mill Creek Village and Sinclair Estates senior living communities.
Northbound drivers will be detoured along Muirfield Drive, while southbound traffic will remain open to West Southampton Drive. Temporary signs and message boards will be in place to guide motorists through the area.
