The man accused of dumping a woman’s body in Perche Creek earlier this year made his second court appearance Tuesday in Boone County.
Andrew Acton, 53, appeared by video from jail without an attorney and was denied bond due to concerns over public safety.
He faces charges including second-degree murder, abandonment of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.
Investigators allege Acton killed the 47-year-old woman by strangulation or suffocation sometime between October 2025 and May 2026, and say the two had an established relationship and had lived together.
Court records show a dispute over scheduling his next hearing, with a request to move it denied.
He is currently set to return to court on July 9.
