The Kansas City Royals fell to the New York Mets 7-3 last night,
The Royals struck first with a leadoff homer by Lane Thomas, and Bobby Witt Jr. added another solo shot, but the Mets took control with a five-run fifth inning sparked by Tyrone Taylor’s game-tying homer.
Sean Manaea pitched seven strong innings, Juan Soto added a 435-foot home run, and Devin Williams closed out a 7-3 Mets win.
Mark Vientos also exited early after suffering a fractured right hand.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 last night at Busch Stadium,
The Brewers built an early 6-0 lead behind Jake Bauers’ three-run homer and key RBI hits from Sal Frelick, Cooper Pratt, and Brice Turang.
The Cardinals rallied with Jordan Walker’s three-run blast to cut the deficit to two,
but Turang answered with a solo homer as Milwaukee pulled away for a 8-4 victory.
