Jeff City Man Who Ran Into Side of House in Columbia Gets DWI

The suspect who allegedly crashed into the side of a building while intoxicated early Thursday morning on W. Ash St. in Columbia has been named.

20-year-old Max Henry Hope of Jefferson City is being jailed without bond after he reportedly missed a garage at about 2 a.m. Thursday and damaged the building he was trying to park his vehicle inside.

According to court records, this was his second DWI arrest in just over a week after he was taken into custody for a separate DWI on June 9. Pope’s representative filed a motion for bond reduction at his arraignment today.
