A Columbia man is behind bars after being arrested Wednesday when deputies seized over 100 grams of meth in total.
Probable cause statements say that authorities executed a search warrant at 47-year-old Alphonso Fagala’s residence on Wednesday at 3:20 p.m. Fagala was detained while the officers searched his residence.
Officers reportedly found 43 grams of meth in his garage, as well as two digital scales with meth residue and packaging material and other drug paraphernalia in his residence.
According to court documents, officers later found 58 grams of meth hidden inside Fagala’s sock during the booking process at Boone County Jail after Fagala told the deputies he had no illegal substance on his person.
Fagala was charged with Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance at Jail, Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location, First-Degree Trafficking Drugs, Possession of Controlled Substance.
He is being jailed without bond.
