Mizzou Athletics prepares to open up the North End Zone tonight for the very first time at Memorial Stadium in Columbia. The Tigers will host Arkansas Pine Bluff in the season opener. While fans will see 4,000 new seats the actual increase in seating is less than 1,000 in the $250 million dollar project.
The addition features a 4,540-square foot video board, a 503-foot ribbon board, a 2,200-square foot team store, plus numerous premium bars, and plenty of new food and beverage offerings including Shakespeare’s Pizza, Champ’s Chicken, Buck’s Ice Cream, Mya’s Gourmet Popcorn, as well as Southern-style Tiger Tenders, a Kansas City Burnt End Hot Dog, and two new Stack Burgers.
The renovation includes nine new entrances and a 16,500-square foot tailgate plaza, as well as the preservation of the Rock M.
BTW, new souvenir soda cups sold at Memorial Stadium will see a portion of the proceeds go to Every True Tiger Brands, Mizzou’s official Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) marketing agency.
