August Columbia shooting suspect arrested
Columbia Police arrested a 19-year-old Columbia man in connection to a Columbia shooting on Aug. 2 shooting.
At about 11:47 on Aug. 2, Columbia Police responded to an shots fired call in the 900 block of Conley Road. Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Chase Ricketts was arrested today in the 200 block of North Old 63 on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree tampering with physical evidence.
He’s currently being held in the Boone County Jail.
