Two Columbia Men Charged in Armed Carjacking, Burglaries

Two Columbia men are facing charges in connection with an alleged armed carjacking and a series of burglaries near Columbia College and Paris Road.

Police arrested 19-year-olds J’Marion Dalton and Emmanuel Ernest Thursday morning near the 1300 block of Paris Road.

According to court documents, officers found a stolen firearm, three credit cards belonging to burglary victims, and clothing matching surveillance video at Dalton’s residence. Police also recovered one of the stolen vehicles.

Both men are charged with vehicle hijacking, armed criminal action and stealing a motor vehicle. They’re being held without bond at the Boone County Jail.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
