Columbia Strip Mall Fire
No injuries were reported after firefighters put out a structure fire Wednesday in Columbia.
The Columbia Fire Department was called to the 600 block of West Business Loop 70, where crews found light smoke coming from a unit in a strip mall.
Firefighters entered the building and quickly contained the fire to the kitchen area. Officials say the fire was under control about five minutes after crews arrived.
The cause was determined to be an accidental cooking fire. Crews remained on scene to clear smoke and help business owners return to normal operations.
