Missouri hunters took 80,525 deer during the opening weekend of the fall firearms deer season. Preliminary numbers from the Missouri Department of Conservation shows Callaway County with 1,213, Monroe with 1,132, Audrain had 636, Boone with 724, and Montgomery County with 907. Last year hunters checked 88,760 during the opening weekend.
