Bank Robber In Custody

One person has been arrested in connection to the robbery at First State Community Bank in Columbia yesterday [Wednesday] morning.

CPD reports 51 year old Carl Lovell Wade allegedly handed the bank teller a note demanding money and implying he was in possession of a weapon.


He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, in the same taxi he arrived in.

The taxi cab company was able to give the location of where they dropped him off. He was found to have the money from the robbery on him, and the note given to the teller was in a trash can near him.

He is facing charges of Robbery in the first degree, with a bond to be set. He was taken to the Boone County Jail.
