A former employee of Oakland Middle School accused of inappropriate touching a student with a disability has a case coming for review next week.
According to court documents Thomas Edwards was charged in March with 4th degree assault.
Documents indicate that Edwards put his hand under a child’s clothing and touched their buttock sometime between August of 2015 and February of this year.
A Columbia Public Schools spokesperson said that Edwards was terminated in February this year.
Edwards was arrested in February and a case review is scheduled for Tuesday April 25th at 9am.
