The cause of a fire that destroyed a New London home early Saturday morning is still unknown.
According to the Hannibal Rural Fire Protection District firefighters responded to 13532 Thornberry Road and found a double wide trailer totally engulfed in flames.
The home owned by Archie Whittaker Sr. and Gail Gibbons were on vacation with their three children at the time of the fire.
