Cause of Sturgeon Fire Announced
The Little Dixie Fire Protection District has released the cause of a massive fire just north of Sturgeon on Audrain County Road 161 yesterday afternoon. [Wednesday]
According to a release, when fire crews arrived, they found a house, shed, vehicle, propane tank and approximately 5 acres of grassland burning.
The cause of the fire appears to be a spark from an outdoor wood stove.
Little Dixoe and the Boone County Fire Protection District responded to the call with total of 15 firefighters and 7 pieces of fire apparatus.
The damage was extensive, and there were no injuries reported
