Two Injured, Parking Meter Hit and Building Damaged in Jefferson City Car Accident

A two car accident in Jefferson City leaves two people injured and damage to a building and a parking meter.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department it happened yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon around 4:19 on East McCarty and Madison Street.

The investigation revealed a car was going east on McCarty and failed to stop for a solid red light and was hit by a car on the drivers side.

The crash caused one of the vehicles to go off the road and hit a parking meter and a building.

35 year old Rhiannon Planz and 45 year old Mary Fritz both of Jefferson City were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
