The Columbia City Council is looking at what it would cost for an audit.
At last (Monday) nights meeting the council directed their City Manager Mike Matthes to get a cost estimate for an audit of all departments by State Auditor Nicole Galloway.
Columbia Mayor Brian Treece says all of the details of the audit still need to be agreed upon, however the idea of inviting Galloway to do the audit could uncover potential savings in the city budget.
