Lieutenant Barry Knipfel of Mexico Public Safety Retiring

A longtime member of the Mexico Public Safety Department is retiring.

Lieutenant Barry Knipfel will be pursuing other interests in life after 40 years of helping to provide police and fire protection to the city of Mexico.

In his career, Lieutenant Knipfel has worked as a dispatcher, public safety officer, sergeant, and lieutenant.

He was also a graduate of the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad and graduate of the FBI-National Academy.

An appreciation ceremony will take place on this Friday, March 30th from 2pm until 4pm in the Mexico City Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall.

The public is welcome to attend.
