Hawley Announces Inquiry Into Archdiocese of St. Louis

Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley announced today [Thursday] his office has launched an independent review of the Archdiocese of St. Louis after allegations of sexual abuse at the hands of clergy members.

In a statement, Hawley says the Archdiocese is cooperating with the attorney general’s office.

The investigation comes soon after a report citing 301 priests, clergy and lay teachers with credible sexual abuse allegations against them in Pennsylvania.
