The search for 4 year old Darnell Gray of Jefferson City has come to an end today [Tuesday] as investigators found his body in an undisclosed location just before noon.
Lt. David Williams of the Jefferson City Police Department says Darnell was found by a search party and evidence recovery is underway with the assistance of the FBI Evidence Team.
Williams said Darnell’s remains were not in an area that was previously searched, but was in a place where the investigation led them.
The parents have been notified.
Williams said it is too early to determine how he died but said “he is deceased and not by his own accord.”
