According to Mexico Public Safety, a School Resource Officer was inside the building when the incident occurred, but was not in the office when Damion Linder allegedly made the threat. Linder had left the facility before the SRO arrived in the office.

The officer was informed of the threat that was made as Linder was leaving.

At approximately 9:26 AM, Public Safety arrived at Linder’s home and he was arrested at 10:43 and taken to the Public Safety Department where he was processed before being taken to the Audrain County Jail on a charge of making a terroristic threat in the third degree.

Officers found no indication that Linder had immediate plans to act on his threat, however the matter is still under investigation.
