IRS Will Issue Tax Refunds During Government Shut Down

The Internal Revenue Service plans to pay tax refunds in the coming weeks after the White House decided it is legally permissible to process tax returns during a government shut down today. [Monday]

The United States Government has been partially shut down since December 22.

Final decisions are still being worked out regarding how many people will be brought back to work at the IRS when filing season begins, however, they will still not be paid during the shut down.
