No New Leads In Boonville Murder

No new leads have been generated since a Dateline interview with the family and friends of a woman shot to death on Interstate 70 in December.

Melissa Peskey of South Dakota was traveling with her 2 children to a friend’s house in South Carolina.

Law enforcement was called to a car crash near Boonville.  Investigation revealed Peskey died of a gunshot wound that came from outside her vehicle on December 13.

Sergeant Scott White with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a statement “No new leads have been generated to date. That could change with just a phone call, but the investigators will continue to follow-up on the information and evidence we currently have. Melissa’s murder investigation is still open and active. It’s not a cold case.”

Anyone with information can contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
