Mexico Public Safety Report for 5/20/19

ARRESTS:

Mexico Public Safety is reporting the following arrests:

On Friday, May 17th, 48 year old James E. Fennewald arrested for a DWI as a prior offender.

Saturday, May 18th 29 year old Britney L. Harper arrested for Property Damage, Trespassing and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers report arresting Harper after an alert citizen called in suspicious activity in the 200 block of Morris.

Police say Harper was found damaging a building owned by a business in the area.

Harper was processed and booked in the Audrain County Jail.
Public Safety arrested 34 year old Nathan M. Sommer on Saturday, May 18th for a peace disturbance and resisting arrest.

Yesterday (Sunday) public safety arrested 28 year old Shawnese L. Clark on a Ralls County Warrant.

CAR ACCIDENTS:

A one car accident yesterday (Sunday) at the 2200 block of South Clark in Mexico.

According to the accident report it happened when 17 year old Alexa Knipp of Mexico was traveling northbound and lost control of her vehicle, going off the road and hitting a ditch.

No injuries reported.

POLICE LIGHTS

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls over the weekend starting on Friday, May 17th:

Property damage at Mars.

A natural gas odor at West Liberty.

Threats at the West Plaza Shopping Center.

On Saturday, May 18th public safety went to these calls for service:

Shots fired reported at Lakeside Place.

Vandalism at East Liberty.

Shop lifting at 4820 South Clark.

Mexico Public Safety went to the following calls yesterday (Sunday):

A fight in progress at Vance Road and at East Liberty.

A stealing or theft at West Breckenridge.

Shop lifting at 2935 South Clark.
