Audrain County Inmate Killed In Jail Assault
An inmate at the Audrain County Jail is dead as the result of an assault that occurred in the jail at around 9:00 this morning. [Thursday]
Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller reports the victim, 42 year old Michael Dale Eisenhauer of Centralia, had been incarcerated since March 7th.
The inmate suspected of the assault, identified as 27 year old Ryan Wade Blair of Mexico, remains in the Audrain County Jail pending formal charges for the assault and death.
Blair has been held in the jail since December 22, 2018 for third degree assault on a special victim.
Audrain County Coroner Todd Yager says an autopsy on Eisenhauer is scheduled for tomorrow.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the entirety of the investigation at the request of the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office.
