The St. Louis Cardinals were unable to complete a series sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday (Wednesday) with a 4-1 loss.
Kolten Wong provided the Redbirds only run with a solo shot going 3-4 at the plate finishing a triple short of the cycle.
The Cardinals have the day off today (Thursday), and will return home to Busch Stadium tomorrow (Friday) night starting a series with Cincinnati Reds.
The Kansas City Royals with a 6-4 win over the Oakland Athletics.
The Royals pushed across 2 runs in the 7th inning to break a 4-4 tie, and the key hit came from Hunter Dozier, who already had a 2 run homer earlier.
The Kansas City Chiefs will hit the road for the final game of the preseason tonight (Thursday) when they battle the Green Bay Packers.
The starters won’t be playing during the game, however all of the backups will see action as they compete to make the Chiefs’ 53-man rosters.
One position to keep an eye on during the game will be at quarterback as a battle for the Number 3 spot between Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur.
According to head Coach Andy Reid each player will receive a full half to play against the Packers.
Kickoff for the game is at 7 pm.
