Two men accused sex crimes against an Audrain County girl are now in jail and are being held without bond.
23 year old Dereck Leroy Turnage of Hannibal and 18 year old Gerald Wayne Walker Jr. of Laddonia were arrested yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon and are facing charges of First Degree Statutory rape of a person less than 14 years old.
According to court records on May 9th the Missouri Children’s Division sent a message to Audrain County Sheriff’s Detective Richard Ingram saying that the teen was taken to a local clinic for a medical issue, and the clinic found she was pregnant.
The teen initially said Walker was the father but later said it was Turnage, according to the probable cause statement.
