Community R-6 Lady Trojans Final Four Bound For Second Straight Year

The Community R-6 Lady Trojans are headed back to the Final 4 for a second consecutive year in high school basketball after defeating Green City 60-53 at the Moberly Area Community College tonight.

Natalie Thomas led the way for the Lady Trojans with 28 points, and sealed the deal by hitting her last 8 free throws in the final minutes of the game.

Dalaney Bowers with 9 points, followed by Deann Brooks with 8, Sadie Hoyt and Alexis Welch with 5 points each and Brianna Beamer with 2.

The Lady Trojans will play next week on Thursday, March 12th at 5:10pm against the winner the Montrose and Walnut Grove.

Community R-6 girls improved their record to 28-1.
